I got my resume back from my brother today and holy shit, its filled with all these smart words and is formatted so awesome that I can't believe its my resume. I send him this plain blah boring resume with lots of blank spaces and get back this one full page that lists all my experience and education in a cool way. This makes me scared because there is only 2 weeks of school left then I have to become a real person and find a job. I recently did a phone interview for one of my classes and bombed that, I was so horrible and had no answers to the questions. I seriously need to practice this! Wahh I don't wanna be a grown up yet. You can find my resume here.. http://www.wix.com/ariv113/ar113

Adrianna Papell //
Over the past two summers I have had an internship with Adrianna Papell and loved working with them. My mom works there so thats how I got the internship. Their office is right before Times Square on 7th Avenue. I loved working in New York City. I would commute from Jersey on the train which would take me an hour to get there so I would have to get up at the crack of dawn to leave. But all in all it was worth it since I got to learn a lot of things about the fashion industry to help me after I graduate. My first time being an intern there was very easy and laid back, I helped with the sales team and they buyers. Actually most of the time they forgot I was even there. There was no room in the office for me so I had to sit in the showroom with another intern that was working there at the same time as me. I would just sit on a laptop on Facebook for almost the entire day. It was really boring I barely did anything and I wasn't getting paid.
But the second time I did my internship I worked with the design team (btw I was getting paid this time :]) and that was more fun. Or should I say a lot more running around NYC. They literally had me non-stop running around the city, picking up samples, choosing buttons, picking up beads. It was never ending. But in the end it was all worth it. I got to see what it was like to work in the real fashion world in one of the biggest fashion cities.

Above & Beyond
This is Above & Beyond, my absolute favorite djs. Their names are Jono, Paavo, and Tony. They started and are from London, England. They have their own record label called Anjunbeats and Anjunadeep They host a radio show every Friday, it's called Trance Around the World. They play tracks from a lot of the known djs around the world, they also play tracks from new starting djs and their own tracks of course. I went to go see them live in D.C. this past summer with my ex boyfriend and I loved every moment of it. It was at a club called Fur, weird name right? You would think it would be a weird club but it was actually pretty fancy. The club opened up at 10 p.m. and the djs didn't go on until 1 a.m. so you can imagine waiting that long to see your favorite people of all time, it felt like foreverrr. Anyway the club ended up being the the ghetto of Washington D.C. I literally thought that we were going to get robbed. We stayed at the Capitol Skyline Hotel which was a really nice hotel, we had a corner room and one of the top floors which let us have a great view over D.C. I wish I took more pictures, I don't even know where the pictures I took are. Oh well. I plan to see them again very soon at Electric Zoo which I have yet to go to and I basically live in New York. I can't believe I never went! I would love to go EDC but I am a poor college student and unfortunately I have other priorities that come first, like finding a job. But I love Above & Beyond and I always will! I will always remember the time I saw them for the first time. It's actually funny because I used to hate them and this type of music but my ex boyfriend would play it so much that it grew on me and i started to love it and that's something we shared and I think that we will always share even though we aren't together anymore. You should check them out they have a free podcast on iTunes, my favorite episode is 350! You can learn more about them at aboveandbeyond.nu :)

i think it's time to start looking for a job..
I am almost done with college which means I have to go out into the world and be a real person. This kind of scares me, I am so ready to be done with college and start making money but am I really ready go out there and find a job? My resume looks pretty good I have done two internships in the city but I never really did and real work, pretty much just bitch work. Plus I will be competing with all the other people that went to school in the city and have 10 times more internships on their resumes. But anyway I sent out my resume to my brother over a month ago and still haven't gotten it back. He looks at people's resumes and fixes them if they suck basically, so mine must suck pretty bad. I have never actually done an interview before and that scares me because I feel like I am going to go into one and screw up my chance at getting that job to begin with. I really need to start preparing myself for the real world. I just have to stay positive and go out there with confidence.
missing my long hair :'(
Okay, I don't know what made me wanna cut my hair but I thought it was a good idea. And now i regret my decision because now I can only straighten my hair and nothing else. I'm bored of it already and I want my long hair back! It took me so long to grow it that long and now its gone :'( I'm considering getting extensions but I have to look into it more. Wahhhhhhhhhhh.

i can't believe this has actually worked
So, I found this really cool free website and it is just like weight watchers. It's called my fitnesspal.com It tracks everything I eat and tells me how many calories I have per day. You can even add in exercise. I haven't really been exercising but somehow I have lost 5 pounds. This makes me very happy I feel really good about myself and hopefully this motivates me to work out some more so I can get in shape.
